I never saw depression in Haiti. In Haiti if a woman was to be depressed and just sat around moping all day feeling sorry for herself then she and her family would starve to death, so depression is just not done. But in the west a woman can do that and still get food from the cupboard. Depression is a western luxury. -Elisa Adventurin
